Because it will allow you to fly in the sky, making you almost invincible.

A vector-based Mario game with four stages implemented. Bowser's in there too, so let's go take him down!
↑ Ended up with a screenshot where I'm totally screwed lol
By the way, this is actually a remix of work by the big names - the game engine is by griffpatch and the concept is by BradGames. Getting inspired by and remixing excellent games is definitely a shortcut to creating masterpieces.

In this Mario game, if you touch an enemy, you lose health. Be careful right from the start as Goombas and Piranha Plants will appear.
Even if you lose health, you can recover by collecting 20 coins, so even if you're defeated by an enemy, keep pushing forward. You might also find hearts along the way, so there are pretty good chances to recover your health.
To defeat enemies, just stomp on them in true Mario fashion! Oh, but be careful, stomping on Piranha Plants won't defeat them.

Action game with simple controls
In this game, you move your character left and right, jump, and crouch. Use the arrow keys or A, D, W keys to navigate and clear stages. Press K to advance to the next stage, or skip if it's too challenging. Please let me know how long it took you to clear each stage.

The most distinctive feature of this Scratch project is that Mario's movement implements physical momentum (inertia)! The acceleration and deceleration are smooth just like in actual Mario games, not just constant-speed movement.
Looking inside the code, you can see a velocity variable system where Mario gradually speeds up when starting to run and gradually slows down when stopping. The velocity increases and decreases each time you press the left or right arrow keys, with detailed collision detection against terrain implemented as well.
What's more, jump height isn't simplistic either - it varies based on how long you hold the up arrow key. This brings the gameplay feel much closer to the real thing and dramatically enhances that gaming "satisfaction factor"!

Collecting 100 coins will grant you an extra life. Gathering 100 coins can be quite challenging, so just focus on progressing through the game without worrying too much about it. If you grab the mushroom below, you'll be able to double jump. With the propeller attached to your head, you'll be able to jump higher.
This should make it easy to leap over most cliffs. However, it seems like Yoshi, depicted in the thumbnail, hasn't been implemented yet. Probably!

The wall jump is a bit tricky. When you touch the wall, you'll start sliding down slowly - that's when you press the up key. Don't press left or right during this, or you'll mess it up.
You can breeze through conversations by mashing the Z key, so even though there's a story, it's totally stress-free to enjoy.
"Paper Mario" is a game where Mario goes on an adventure to rescue Princess Peach after she gets kidnapped. Players battle through 5 levels and boss fights. The game might run a bit heavy, so Turbo Warp is recommended.

There are several Mario masters in the scratch world, and here is a scratch-only Mario game created by one of them, Brad-Games.
Brad-Games is a super-scratcher who has been actively involved in scratch activities, including making Mario Maker in high quality and holding contests for Mario creations.
Here's the Mario series created by such a man! Gokulit ....... It's definitely fun, he says.
The controls are the arrow keys or WASD keys.
Series
- Brad-Games Mario Series 1
- Brad-Games Mario Series 2
- Brad-Games Mario Series 3
- Brad-Games Mario past improvements
- Brad-Games Mario Series 4
And Brad-Games is currently working on something else, but the unfinished Mario Series 5 is only available to the public. You can play that too, so I want to play more Mario games by Brad-Games! We hope that you will be able to enjoy the experience.

Isn't that opening pipe animation absolutely incredible!? The way it captures that feeling of being sucked into the Game Boy is just breathtaking! Mario blasts through the fourth dimension with his mighty pipe cannon, bursting out of the TV world and landing smack dab in the Game Boy. And wouldn't you know it - he's in the Pokemon world! Using the tileset from Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen, you get to enjoy a brand new adventure where Mario and the Pokemon universe collide!

A Mario game loved by the Scratch community, commonly known as SMOS. Abbreviation for Super Mario on Scratch. It is similar to Super Mario For Scratch by Brad-Games, but different. The code is a reference and it is published. The birth of SMOS was an entry in Brad-Games' contest, so well, the similarity is not surprising. There are various unique modifications, and one new Mario World is complete.

Wow, this is incredible, truly an amazing Mario has arrived.
This game is really fantastic. First off, everyone's favorite Mario is back in action. The classic storyline where Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser and Mario sets off on a grand adventure is just thrilling.
The controls are finely tuned, with jumping, special actions, and even the smallest movements showing a great deal of attention to detail. And then, there's the collecting of Star Coins and the conditions to unlock World 9, adding not just a goal to clear the game but also the fun of exploration and the challenge of repeated attempts.
Moreover, the developers are really passionate. They keep improving the game through updates, listening to player feedback, fixing bugs, and enhancing gameplay. They've even made it possible to use emojis for online communication, fostering player interaction.
Truly, this game is rewarding to play and shows a great respect for players. So, I think not only Mario fans but also anyone who loves games would enjoy it.

The most impressive technical aspect of this Scratch project is how it achieves complex movement patterns! Take a close look at the boss (Bunbun) - it's not just simple "move forward" mechanics. Instead, it implements smooth motion with gradual acceleration to top speed, followed by gradual deceleration.
Rather than just using "change speed" blocks, this clever approach uses multiple small movements in the same direction, detecting Mario's position to change direction while creating natural acceleration and deceleration effects. The damage reaction animations are meticulously crafted too, with seamless transitions between shell mode and normal state!
What looks deceptively simple is actually incredibly complex in terms of timing and code structure. It's these layered movement details that create that satisfying "feel-good" gameplay experience. The creator's technical finesse really shines through in this masterpiece!

![Super Mario 64 [2.5D]](https://scratch.coach/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/971723383.jpg)

A Mario game viewed from a diagonal overhead perspective, not quite three-dimensional but rather in 2.5 dimensions, at a delightful angle. It moves in a way that feels three-dimensional and is fun. This programming creation is made more for enjoying a stroll than playing a game, but yes, Scratch's 3D aspect is definitely exciting!

In this Scratch project, Larry Koopa's movement patterns are absolutely mind-blowing! He constantly monitors the opponent's position and creates this smooth acceleration-deceleration dance that tracks toward the player. The real genius is in how they've layered multiple "if-then" conditional branches to trigger different behaviors based on player coordinates and costume states.
The coolest part? The synchronized platform mechanics! Larry Koopa actually jumps and switches attack patterns in perfect timing with moving platforms. Using clone spawning and variable control to pull off such sophisticated enemy AI is seriously advanced stuff. Plus, all those micro-adjustments to make the movement look natural? That's some pro-level polish right there!

The "WONDER!!!" system in this Scratch project is the ultimate game-changer! It's powered by a "Wonder Effect" function that triggers random special effects during gameplay, completely transforming player movement and screen visuals.
Technically, it uses a "Wonder?" variable as the trigger - different values fire off different effects. You've got firework-like spectacles created through clone generation mixed with complex formulas, plus temporary tweaks to physics values that mess with gravity and movement mechanics.
What's really clever is how it combines periodic motion using math functions (sin, cos) with random numbers to create chaotic movement patterns. This syncs with timers to deliver completely unpredictable twists that keep players on their toes.

toad
Toad is the unsung hero who supports Mario’s world behind the scenes. Without them, the Mushroom Kingdom wouldn’t exist. By the way, in English, they’re called Toad, which means “frog”… Huh? (Apparently, it’s also the name of a mushroom, but wasn’t there something better?!)
