Don't Miss the Anomalies!
In this game, it's crucial not to miss any anomalies. When you spot an anomaly, turn back immediately; if there are no anomalies, continue forward. You'll clear the game when you reach exit number 8 or higher without encountering any anomalies. By the way, the creator cleared the game at exit 31. If you encounter an anomaly along the way, turn back; if not, keep going. You'll clear the game when you reach exit number 8 or higher without encountering any anomalies.

Instructions
This is a suspenseful game where players choose actions carefully to escape. When a strange event occurs, immediately turn back. If no event appears, keep moving forward until you reach the 8th exit.
Use the “Choose” button to decide if you’ll “Turn Back” or “Move Forward.” Reaching the 8th exit without turning back completes the game. Beware, turning back at the 8th exit won't lead to escape unless you find something unusual.
Note: The atmosphere might be unsettling but isn’t too scary—just a bit eerie.

Watch for any unusual changes – if you see one, turn back right away. Don’t miss anything; it’s the only way to finish!

The biggest technical feature of this Scratch project is its complex "anomaly flag management system." It records the anomalies players discover, storing a whopping 28 different state changes as variables. Each time an anomaly is found in a hallway, the corresponding variable gets set to 1 and the "remaining anomalies counter" ticks down. Find them all and you unlock a special ending. What's really clever is how this system links up with the forward/backward movement logic - the presence or absence of anomalies actually changes how the floor numbers increase or decrease through intricate conditional branching. Pretty sophisticated stuff!

Hey, the biggest standout feature of this Scratch project is the "combo of clone manipulation and ghost effects"! The dancer sprite's movement is particularly impressive. The 7th sprite keeps spawning clones, with each clone moving independently.
Looking at the code, there's this clever bit where they use a variable called "Won't you join the mysterious dance cult?" for state management. There's a system where clones work together by updating this variable in sequence.
Plus, they gradually tweak the ghost effect to adjust transparency, creating this appearing and disappearing act. The combination of position changes and size adjustments gives it this lifelike dance vibe. Pretty sophisticated stuff!

Use the arrow keys to move. Press the space key to interact with doors or alarms. Approach the escalator to board it.
If you notice anything unusual, go down the stairs and press the alarm (near the elevator's lower left). Check carefully as there’s no change at first.
To reach the bad ending:
When a "Clear" sign appears on the poster, press the alarm. A strange exit will appear. Have the cat touch the door, click the mouse, and press space to reveal the real exit.
Note: This game has some horror elements. Avoid if sensitive. Two endings and 19 changes to discover.

A Scratch version of an "8th Floor"-style anomaly detection game set on an escalator. While technically categorized as horror, it should be fine for people who aren't great with scary stuff (probably). Complete with detailed instructions, so even first-time escalator game players can dive right in with confidence.
