Exciting Gameplay with a Simple Rolling Ball
This game, inspired by “Rolling Sky,” captivates with its simplicity: a ball just rolling along. The Scratch community has embraced and extensively remixed this concept. The most popular remix is the sequel, “Ball Rolling 2” (link provided below).
Simplicity in Design: A Single Sprite and 100% Pen Usage
Remarkably, the game comprises just one sprite and is entirely created using Scratch’s pen feature. I admire this creator for his other ‘bullet’ projects too, his calculations and designs are always impressively elegant.
Interactive Course Creation Enhances the Fun
The real joy of “Ball Rolling” is in the ability to edit courses. After starting the game with the green flag, press the ‘A’ key. You’ll be able to navigate the course with crosshairs. Press the spacebar to alter the course tiles, adding or removing them. Use the left and right arrow keys to change tile positions. It might be a bit confusing initially due to the lack of visual aids, but you’ll get the hang of it.
You can edit everything from “Ball Rolls 1-5,” even creating devilishly challenging courses for yourself!
If you’re up for a tough challenge, try previewing the entire course by pressing the ‘A’ key before attempting to complete it.
[3D] Ball Rolling Series: An Overview
This series, all from the same author, includes several variations. Here’s a brief introduction to each, in the order they were released. You can play all the games in the first series by clicking the link below.
Ball Roll 1: BGM is “Red Soul like a Hozuki” by Touhou Koumago.
Ball Rolling 2: Four times harder, featuring colored tiles for jumping. The author cleared it in 30 tries. BGM: “Runate Elf” by Toho-Koumago (with a clear movie).
Ball Roll 3: Eight times harder, also with colored jump tiles. BGM: “Shanghai Tea House” by Oriental Red Magic (clear movie).
Ball Roll 4: An 800 times harder version (lol). The author couldn’t clear it. BGM: “Is U.N. Owen her?” from Touhou Koumagou (clear video).
Ball Roll 5: A 1600 times more challenging version, akin to a kaioken double-up.
International Success and Recognition
“Ball Korokoro” has gained significant traction internationally. Notably, super-scratcher CrystalKeeper7 remixed it, receiving an incredible response.

We laughed at the high quality of the game despite the fact that it was introduced as “a little fighting game I made for my cousin”.
I’m curious about the IQ of the author who can get away with a little mini-game with this finish.
This game is a great reference for making fighting games from scratch, and it’s great because it’s fun to do.
It can be played by two people. I am sure he played with his cousin.

Simple and fun! Click ‘Play’ on the first screen to start the battle. The player takes the role of a tank pilot and shoots down incoming fighter jets and combat helicopters. Be careful; the game is over if they invade! Shoot down enemy planes to get money, and strengthen your armaments with it. You need to get out of the battle to spend money and get your armaments in order. Click on the X mark at the bottom left of the screen. Click on ‘Shop’ to buy different armaments. A laser pointer is recommended at the very beginning.

This is a shooting game that can be played using only mouse control.
Click to make a shot.
All you have to do is dodge! Dodge and shoot! Shoot and dodge!
That’s all there is to it, and it goes on and on.
It is instantly clear that this is a clear high quality shooter, with beautiful graphics and refined game difficulty.
#08 Impossible mode is too fast and almost laughable. The lever usage is creative and skillful!

This is an example of a scrolling game where the player dodges flying obstacles. You can instinctively tell that the character only moves up and down due to the lever. There is sound, but you can mute the sound or just the sound effect on the menu screen. That’s consideration for the player. Nice. It made me realize consideration is the source of creativity. The speed at which the obstacles come flying changes depending on the level, so by all means try the Impossible Level (they fly by in 0.5 seconds). The way the countdown works is simple and skillful as well. Take a look and check it out. Highly recommended sample.
#10 Dodging Falling Enemies

In this game, you avoid enemies falling from the screen, and your score increases based on the number of enemies dodged. The enemy characters look like green hamburgers. When I tried it, I found a blind spot where enemies wouldn’t fall, so I could probably stay there and keep earning points without getting hit by enemies. Be careful not to touch the left or right walls, as that will result in a game over.
To make this game more enjoyable, consider:
Randomizing the trajectory of falling enemies
Making enemies target the player’s current position
Increasing the number of enemies falling at once
Creating reasons to move, such as collecting coins or items (mentioned in the game description, but not actually present in the game)
Taking these points into consideration, modifying the game yourself could be a great learning experience.

A Mario game loved by the Scratch community, commonly known as SMOS. Abbreviation for Super Mario on Scratch. It is similar to Super Mario For Scratch by Brad-Games, but different. The code is a reference and it is published. The birth of SMOS was an entry in Brad-Games’ contest, so well, the similarity is not surprising. There are various unique modifications, and one new Mario World is complete.
#13 Play soccer using your mouse

This is an easy-to-play soccer game that only uses the mouse to control. There is no ball passing involved, so you just make space and push the ball into the goal. If you lose even one point, the game is over and you lose. Don’t be discouraged by the opposing team’s defense and just keep sending the ball over to your goal. Once you score a goal, the game switches to a mini-game where you catch falling medals. But there are no sounds or score counters, so I expect some modifications in the future.

The characters are adorable. Although the text is in English, the words are simple, making it easy to understand what is written. Since only the space bar is used, even very young children can start playing. As players progress, they have to figure out how to create combinations with the same characters, which can also help teach them how to find and think about commonalities.

At first, it starts slow but gets faster and faster. The score increases with each combo, so you get a lot of points early on. But when it gets faster… Man! It’s like Taiko No Tatsujin met a clicker game – such a cool combo! The game sparks lots of creative ideas. Also, seeing Scratch characters like Gobo on the notes is hilarious lol.

A golf game in which you aim for the goal by clicking in the direction of flight. The controls are easy to use, as you simply click to advance, rather than pulling.
The gameplay is also high enough to keep you engaged as you progress quickly.
The black lines when clicking are easy to see, so even people who are new to scratch can enjoy it.
#18 Cross or straight?! Table tennis with a nice feeling of a bouncing ball

This feels a lot like real table tennis. It’s nice that bouncing is adequately implemented and feels much like ping pong. The sound is mechanical; still, the heart wanted the bounce after all. If you’re looking for a table tennis game with polished graphics, this is it! Also, the return ball is made a bit elaborate: when hit on the racket, the ball hits a cross. You can also return the ball by hitting it with your body. In that case, the ball usually returns straight. The choice between these two is exquisite. It’s fun!

Summary of the author’s notes: Defeat enemies with a ball in this simple yet exciting game! Use arrow keys to move and the space bar to shoot. Your game ends when your HP hits zero. Each enemy color rewards different points: blue (5), pink (10), green (15), orange and white (20 each). Regain health with yellow-green items, but not when life is at full. Enjoy the game!
Note: Start the game by pressing the flag twice.

It’s a shooting game where you battle in planes. Your aircraft stays in the center of the screen. Enemy jets come at you from all sides, and you have to intercept them by firing missiles. To control the game, simply aim the nose of your aircraft with your mouse. Clicking the mouse button or pressing the spacebar will launch a missile. Every time an enemy jet hits your plane, you lose 10 life points. You start with 100 points, so if you get hit 10 times, it’s game over. There are cool features like full-scale attacks, speed-boosted missiles, and shields. Use them wisely to score high! Here’s how you control the special actions:
Rotate aircraft: Drag the mouse
Fire missile: Click the mouse or press the spacebar
Deploy shield: Press the S key
Ultimate destruction attack: Press the U key or click the “Ultimate Destruction” button
Rapid fire: Press the F key or click the “Fast Shot” button
Double shot: Press the D key or click the “Double Bullets” button.

In this fun game, players recreate scenes from Kirby 64 and Kirby’s Wii Deluxe. The goal is simple: knock your opponent down five times. Controls are straightforward. Player 1, the pink character, moves with arrow keys and drops the floor with the space or M key. Player 2, the yellow character, uses WASD keys and the T key for the same actions. It’s great for one or two players, offering endless fun with friends.

Move across a 7×7 grid, dodging enemy attacks while collecting coins. This game features a lively BGM and a stylish blue and white game screen. You can shoot bullets to neutralize enemy attacks, but it’s challenging to control your movement with the right hand and attack with the left hand simultaneously. It has a considerable brain-training element. An exclamation mark appears a few seconds before an enemy attack, so either dodge gracefully or counter with your own attack. If you get hit by enemy attacks three times, it’s game over. As the attacks become more intense, make sure to keep a wide field of vision and fight strategically!
