The ender dragon in Scratch

ender dragon
The Ender Dragon, a supreme end goal reigning in the boundless world of Minecraft where anything goes. In a world without a set goal, it imposingly sits as a goal, telling players, “Come reach me,” demanding their effort and ingenuity as the ultimate dragon. Yet, it doesn’t attack from its end, solidly waiting for the players’ growth like a boss. Feared and loved, this paradoxical black dragon is indeed Minecraft’s Ender Dragon.

Paper Minecraft MOD project that's getting tons of updates.
You can use Ender Eyes now. Hold an Ender Eye on screen and click to use it. If the Ender Eye flies into the air, it means there's a stronghold in that game chunk. But if it doesn't fly, there's no stronghold in the chunk, so try moving to a different chunk.
By the way, my initial spawn was this↓ - isn't that terrible? lol

The coolest thing about this Scratch project is how it combines the epic Ender Dragon battle staging with clicker game mechanics! The friendship system is particularly clever - your friendship level goes up with every click. Plus there's a shop feature where you can spend your accumulated friendship points to upgrade your clicking efficiency.
From a technical standpoint, it's got HP bar displays using variables, smooth character movement through trigonometric calculations, and even cloud variables for saving high scores. The way it handles clone functions for number displays is especially brilliant - it uses a digit-by-digit display technique that's really well executed.
There are also hidden easter eggs where pressing stars and hearts gives you special bonuses, so definitely hunt those down!

How to play
Action | Key |
---|---|
Move left | A key or LEFT key or mouse click + drag to left |
Move to the right | D key or RIGHT key or mouse click + drag to the right |
Jump | W key or UP key or mouse click + drag up |
Attack | Space key or 1 key or click the Attack button at the bottom of the screen |

The most remarkable aspect of this Scratch project is how it handles character movement and jumping! There's some clever collision detection with the ground - it uses a 6-stage fine-tuned hit detection system to create natural movement that follows the terrain. When the player moves, it checks for ground contact and gradually lifts the character up bit by bit until there's no collision, then applies gravity. This creates smooth movement that adapts to the terrain. The jumping isn't just simple coordinate movement either - it uses variables to simulate physics calculations, giving it that realistic bounce feel. Pretty impressive stuff!

the end
I’m gonna show you this rad Scratch game that’s got “The End” in it, you know, that secret world after the Nether in Minecraft. It’s pretty cool!
